The first issue, because of its short length and esoteric content, has been grafted onto the back of the second, creating a monstrous work of epic proportions.  Its entirety can be enjoyed at the art website, citizenxii.smackjeeves.com.  Hope you enjoy!  Below is the final issue of the Fall Out arc.

FALL OUT

LAST CHAPTER

PANEL 1A

A panoramic view of the city.

VOICE

THE CITY’S QUIETER THAN USUAL TONIGHT…

PANEL 2A

A side-shot of PIPEHOLE’S shadowed face.

PIPEHOLE

…UNPIPE-ABLY QUIET.

PANEL 3A

The shot zooms out, PIPEHOLE urinates on a poster of “Erin Brokovich.” He looks off into the distance.

PIPEHOLE

TIME TO MAKE SOME NOISE.

PANEL 4A

The angle changes and he hurls his pipe through a passing car.

PANEL 5A

The two black characters from the fifth issue step out of the car.

MAN 1

THE HELL’S WRONG WITH YOU?!

PANEL 6A

A shot of PIPEHOLE, his pants still around his ankles, over the shoulder of the first man. The second places his hand on his shoulder.

PIPEHOLE

TIME YOU PAID FOR BETRAYING HAN SOLO, LANDO!

MAN 1

YOU’RE DEAD NOW, MO’FUCKER!

MAN 2

DUDE, DUDE! CALM DOWN, MAN! I MEAN, LOOK AT HIM!

PANEL 7A

The two men, the second holding back his friend.

MAN 2

POOR FOO’S HIZZLE-LESS.

PANEL 8A

The two men get back into the car.

MAN 1

YOU LUCKY, MAN!

PANEL 9A

Back in the car, the two men speak in side-shot.

MAN 1

MAN, WHY THE HELL DO WE EVEN LIVE HERE. WE’RE THE ONLY TWO BLACK PEOPLE IN MAINE!

PANEL 10A

A shot of their car driving off out of the panel as the hazemobile drives towards the audience.

MAN 2

I DON’T EVEN KNOW ANYMORE, MAN…. I DON’T EVEN KNOW…

MAN 1

WHATEVER… IS IT MONDAY YET?

PANEL 11A

Inside the hazemobile, the kids are jammed in the back. GEORGE sits noticeably above the other two.

CYLUS

CAN ONE OF US SIT UP FRONT?

GEORGE

OR COULD YOU AT LEAST TAKE THE CARSEAT OUT?

PANEL 12A

HAZE, hunched over the steering wheel.

HAZE

I DON’T KNOW HOW… AND KITTY YELLS AT ME EVERY TIME I CUT IT OUT. “SEAT BELTS ARE EXPENSIVE, ASHER!”

PANEL 13A

The kids in the back, wide-eyed.

HAZE

WE CAN’T KEEP BUYING CARSEATS, ASHER! I LIKE SPENDING YOUR MONEY, ASHER!”

QUENTIN

THIS GUY IS THE CITY’S SILENT PROTECTOR?

PANEL 14A

The hazemobile comes to a screeching halt.

PANEL 15A

QUENTIN hitting her head against the headrest. HAZE turns to face her.

QUENTIN

OW!

GEORGE

WOW, THE CARSEAT REALLY DOES WORK…

HAZE

YES, GIRL-GEORGE, YES HE IS. YOU GOT ANY OTHER POINTED OBSERVATIONS YOU WANNA SHARE?!

PANEL 16A

QUENTIN, rubbing her head.

QUENTIN

FUCKING ASS HOLE…

PANEL 17A

A close-up of HAZE’S mask, his teeth clenched.

HAZE

THROW AWAY YOUR BEER BOTTLES! STOP SMOKING POT AROUND MY PARENTS! NO, ASHER! IT’S AN EXIT-HOLE ONLY! STOP ASKING ME IN FRONT OF MY PARENTS!”

PANEL 18A

The kids in the back, CYLUS and QUENTIN terrified. GEORGE confused.

GEORGE

WHAT’S AN “EXIT-HOLE ONLY?”

PANEL 19A

The hazemobile stops at the same convenience store as he did in chapter three.

PANEL 20A

HAZE steps out of the car.

HAZE

GET OUT OF THE CAR.

PANEL 21A

CYLUS and QUENTIN stepping out of the car.

GEORGE

I’M GOING TO NEED SOME HELP HERE.

PANEL 22A

An overhead shot of the group. HAZE hands CYLUS a gas can.

HAZE

FILL IT. GET A RECEIPT.

PANEL 23A

HAZE stops QUENTIN as she and GEORGE follow him.

HAZE

GET TO KNOW CYLUS, GIRL-GEORGE.

PANEL 24A

QUENTIN, confused, with CYLUS filling the gas can in the background.

QUENTIN

UM… OKAY…

PANEL 1B

A shot of a hand picking up a box cutter.

PANEL 2B

The same shot, with tire chains.

PANEL 3B

Same shot, now with a small lighter.

PANEL 4B

One last shot like the three above, but the hand now reaches for a small figurine of Jesus teaching karate to a small child.

PANEL 5B

HAZE admires the small statue as GEORGE ambles behind him, burdened with war tools.

GEORGE

DO WE REALLY NEED THAT TOO TO BRING DOWN LITTLE BROTHER.

HAZE

COMMUNISTS DON’T UNDERSTAND KITSCH.

PANEL 6B

GEORGE’S eyes over the heap of tools.

GEORGE

CAN I GET A HAND HERE, HAZE?

PANEL 7B

In medium close-up, HAZE holds up a bag of chips.

HAZE

I’M HOLDING THE DORITOES. GO PAY FOR THOSE.

PANEL 8B

A shot from behind the counter. GEORGE lays the pile on the counter as HAZE puts the chips down.

HAZE

YOU MANAGED TO GET A DECENT TEAM TOGETHER. GUNS AND GHOSTS.

PANEL 9B

GEORGE reads the back of the bag.

GEORGE

YOU THINK WE HAVE A CHANCE?

HAZE

DON’T TOUCH THOSE.

PANEL 10B

GEORGE over HAZE’S shoulder.

GEORGE

I’M PAYING FOR THEM, AREN’T I?

PANEL 11B

A shot over GEORGE’S shoulder of HAZE.

HAZE

THAT DOESN’T MAKE THEM YOURS.

PANEL 12B

A shot of the clerk, ringing up the merchandise.

CLERK

THAT’LL BE $27.86.

PANEL 13B

GEORGE and HAZE from behind the counter.

GEORGE

THAT’S HALF MY ALLOWANCE…

HAZE

LEAST YOU GET ONE…

PANEL 14B

GEORGE and HAZE begin walking out of the store, GEORGE carrying the bags while HAZE munches the chips.

HAZE

AS GOOD A TEAM AS YOU HAVE, DON’T GO GETTING TOO ATTATCHED TO THEM. OR ME FOR THAT MATTER.

PANEL 15B

GEORGE stops dead in his tracks. Same angle as above, but HAZE has moved out of the panel.

GEORGE

WHAT?

PANEL 16B

Opening the door, HAZE stops to speak with him.

HAZE

I’M PROBABLY NOT GOING TO BE AROUND MUCH LONGER.

GEORGE

YOU THINK LITTLE BROTHER’S GOING TO KILL YOU?

PANEL 17B

A shot outside the door, HAZE and GEORGE walk together towards the car.

HAZE

THE PINKO? FUCK THAT! GEORGE, LOOK AT ME: I’M NOT GONNA DIE FIGHTING SOME BIG-ASS FUCKING MANIAC WITH A HOWITZER. I’M GONNA DIE OF A HEART ATTACK YELLING AT MY WIFE, OF LUNG CANCER, OR DRIVING DRUNK. LET’S BE HONEST WITH OURSELVES.

PANEL 18B

A shot of CYLUS and QUENTIN, talking with one another.

HAZE

GIRL-GEORGE: SHE’S GONNA FIND A NICE DOCTOR, SINK HER CLAWS INTO HIM, AND OVERDOSE ON ANTI-DEPRESSANTS. CYLUS: PROBABLY GOING TO GET HIMSELF SHOT BY A SOCIALIST VAMPIRE… AS IF THERE’RE ANY OTHER KIND…

PANEL 19B

HAZE walks towards the car in medium shot, still munching on the chips.

HAZE

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING, WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE FROM CAR ACCIDENTS AND CANCER. AND VARIOUS OTHER COMMIE CONSPIRACIES. AND WHEN WE DO, I DON’T WANT YOU CRYING YOURSELF TO SLEEP LETTING THE CITY SINK ITSELF HALFWAY TO HELL.

PANEL 20B

CYLUS and QUENTIN watch HAZE get into the car, confused.

HAZE

THAT’S NOT TO SAY YOU SHOULDN’T TRUST THEM. YOU DO NEED THEM, BUT DON’T BE SURPRISED THE DAY THEY GET DECAPITATED IN A TRAGIC SIX CAR PILE-UP.

PANEL 1C

MOVER stands alone in front the dilapidated house HOLOCAUST leveled. The radiation sign stands prominent in the background.

PANEL 2C

He looks over his shoulder.

VOICE

HI.

PANEL 3C

HOLOCAUST stands silhouetted in the foreground as MOVER turns to her. Dusk has begun to set.

MOVER

THIS YOUR WORK?

PANEL 4C

She nods happily.

PANEL 5C

MOVER watcher her in disbelief.

HOLOCAUST

I DIDN’T WANT THEM TO BE COLD ANYMORE.

PANEL 6C

She runs up to him and embraces him warmly.

HOLOCAUST

I DON’T WANT YOU TO BE COLD ANYMORE EITHER.

PANEL 7C

He puts his mouth to her ear.

MOVER

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE CITY?

PANEL 8C

Her head buried in his shoulder.

HOLOCAUST

I HAVEN’T SLEPT YET.

MOVER

YOU SHOULD. IT’S LATE.

PANEL 9C

In medium close-up over his shoulder, she pulls away from him and looks at his eyes.

HOLOCAUST

NOT YET. HE’S COLD TOO.

MOVER

WHO? LITTLE BROTHER?

PANEL 10C

She laughs and pulls away from the hug.

HOLOCAUST

RUSSIA’S ALWAYS COLD. NO THE OTHER ONE. THE HORIZON’S NOT HERE YET, BUT HE’S COMING, SO THE COMPUTER WAS RIGHT.

PANEL 11C

MOVER confronts her.

MOVER

WAIT, WAIT… SO… HORIZON’S COMING? CYPERPUNK TOLD YOU-

PANEL 12C

The two of them in long shot. HOLOCAUST bends down paws a burned toy.

MOVER

THE OTHER…?” DO YOU MEAN 12? OR 24?

HOLOCAUST

YEP.

PANEL 13C

He grows angry with her. Shot zooms in on him.

MOVER

LOOK AT ME! DO YOU MEAN 12 OR 24!?

PANEL 14C

She picks up the burned toy firetruck.

HOLOCAUST

DADDY SAID IF THE HORIZON CAME THEN HE’S HERE. SO I HAVE TO FIND THE END. TWELVEORTWENTYFOUR.

PANEL 15C

MOVER groans.

MOVER

GODDAMMIT… LOOK, I KNOW YOU DON’T WANT PEOPLE TO HURT. BE COLD, WHATEVER. BUT THEY CAN WARM THEMSELVES, ALRIGHT? YOU UNDERSTAND?

PANEL 16C

The shot returns to the same angle as 12C. She pops her head up, as if sensing something.

HOLOCAUST

I FEEL HIM NEAR ME NOW.

PANEL 17C

In medium close-up she turns to him and smiles.

HOLOCAUST

DON’T WORRY, I OVERSTAND.

PANEL 18C

She runs up to him.

PANEL 19C

She kisses him in close-up, his eyes wide.

PANEL 20C

She turns away from him, her body blocking his left hand, him noticeably shocked.

MOVER

THE HELL?!

PANEL 21C

Running away from him, she turns back to say goodbye.

HOLOCAUST

JUST LIKE THE MOVIE!

PANEL 22C

He looks at the firetruck in his left hand in long shot.

PANEL 23C

He pulls his cell phone out of his coat.

PANEL 1D

Back in the hazemobile, HAZE reaches into his pocket as he drives.

PANEL 2D

A shot of HAZE’S cell phone as he holds it. The caller ID says “Citizen Ass Hat.”

PANEL 3D

HAZE answers the phone.

HAZE

WHAT DO YOU WANT, ASS HAT?

PANEL 4D

MOVER walks to his car, an El Camino (the movermobile), still on his cell phone.

MOVER

SHE’S GOING NORTH ON 86TH.

PANEL 5D

The hazmobile stops in its tracks.

PANEL 6D

A shot from the gear shift’s point of view, HAZE looks out the window at a street sign that says 79th.

HAZE

SHIT…

PANEL 7D

CYLUS, QUENTIN, and GEORGE in the back.

GEORGE

WHO’S THAT?

HAZE

YOU HAVE YOUR CAR? I’LL MEET YOU THERE IN A BIT.

PANEL 8D

HAZE steps out of the car in long shot. The kids look on, confused.

GEORGE

WAIT- HAZE? HAZE? WHO WAS THAT?

HAZE

CYLUS, YOU’RE DRIVING.

PANEL 9D

CYLUS takes up much of the frame as he climbs over the seat.

GEORGE

HAZE!

PANEL 10D

From GEORGE’S point of view, HAZE peeks into the open car window.

HAZE

YOU’RE WORSE THAN MY FUCKING WIFE.

GEORGE

I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO DEAL WITH LITTLE BROTHER…

PANEL 11D

The shot zooms in on HAZE’S mask.

HAZE

WE WILL. SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT’S COME UP. I WANT YOU TO LISTEN TO ME: GO HOME. NO STOPS ALONG THE WAY, NO EXCEPTIONS.

PANEL 12D

HAZE walks to the driver’s side window. CYLUS watches him.

HAZE

IF I DON’T COME BACK, YOU NEED TO CALL THIS NUMBER. TELL HIM I’M DEAD, AND HE NEEDS TO COME GET HIS LITTLE SISTER. THEN GET KITTY, HOLLY, AND THE BABY AND GET AS FAR OUT OF TOWN AS YOU CAN, AS FAST AS YOU CAN. ARRIGHT?

PANEL 13D

The three watch HAZE leaves.

GEORGE

HAZE!

PANEL 14D

From their point of view, he turns, holding his knife.

HAZE

WHAT?!

PANEL 15D

Both in silhouette, HAZE watches the car leave.

PANEL 16D

From the back of the car, GEORGE turns and watches him as the drive off. HAZE’S back is reflected in the car window.

QUENTIN

YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE CARSEAT, GEORGE…

PANEL 1E

LITTLE BROTHER walks through abortion alley, deserted, in extreme long shot.

PANEL 2E

A shot of MOLLY and some of her gang, all holding guns, as they watch him from a rooftop.

PANEL 3E

A shot of him from their point of view.

MOLLY

LET HIM LEAVE THE ALLEY, BUT KEEP AN EYE ON HIM. HE STARTS CAUSIN ANY TROUBLE, MOW HIM DOWN LIKE A CHINESE PROTESTER.

PANEL 4E

A close-up of MOLLY’S cigarette.

MOLLY

AND NO ONE’S TO OPEN THEIR DOORS ‘TIL HE’S GONE, EH?

ELMORE CAPOTE, FIRST GANG MEMBER

YOU GOT IT, MOLLY.

PANEL 5E

The other gang member looks over his shoulder in long shot as the hazemobile tuns into view. MOLLY and ELMORE still watch LITTLE BROTHER carefully.

WILLIAM STRAUS, SECOND GANG MEMBER

UH, MOLLY?

PANEL 6E

A shot from inside the hazemobile. GEORGE has moved out of the carseat. CYLUS perks up.

CYLUS

YOU THINK THAT’S AN EXCEPTION?

PANEL 7E

QUENTIN and GEORGE look forward, eyes wide.

PANEL 8E

The three of them regard LITTLE BROTHER as they drive past him.

PANEL 9E

As if the camera had shifted with the movement of the car, LITTLE BROTHER notices them and watches their car drive past.

PANEL 10E

A long shot of the sun setting over Abortion Alley.

PANEL 1F

MOVER and HAZE stand outside the movermobile, looking about their surroundings.

MOVER

SHE WENT THIS WAY.

HAZE

WHY DIDN’T YOU STOP HER WHEN SHE WAS LEAVING, YOU FUCKING TWINK!?

PANEL 2F

MOVER getting back into the car.

MOVER

I WANTED TO SEE WHERE SHE WAS GOING TO GO. BITCH IS LIKE A FUCKING CHEETAH.

PANEL 3F

The two of them sitting in the car.

MOVER

AND YOU KNOW HOW POWERFUL SHE IS, I COULDN’T HAVE DONE STOPPED HER IF I’D WANTED.

HAZE

OH, WHAT’S SHE GONNA DO, GIVE YOU MORE CANCER?

PANEL 4F

MOVER looks at him, horrified, in medium shot.

PANEL 5F

Same angle as 3F, with MOVER shocked.

HAZE

…WHAT?

PANEL 6F

A side shot of GEORGE looking out the window.

GEORGE

WE CAN DO THIS.

PANEL 7F

A shot from behind QUENTIN as he jumps out of the car.

QUENTIN

WELL, SHIT…

PANEL 8F

Exasperated, she sighs in medium close-up.

QUENTIN

WE SHOULDN’T HAVE LET HIM OUT OF THE CARSEAT.

PANEL 9F

In the same angle, she suddenly becomes translucent.

PANEL 10F

A shot looking into the back window, QUENTIN still ghostly.

PANEL 11F

The same angle, but the car has moved on without her.

PANEL 12F

She stands from a kneeling position, half ghostly, half real, holding her sabre.

PANEL 13F

CYLUS looks in the rear view mirror as GEORGE and QUENTIN run to confront LITTLE BROTHER.

CYLUS

I WONDER HOW MAD HAZE’LL BE AT ME IF I BURN OUT HIS TIRES… OH WELL.

PANEL 14F

From above the car, the hazemobile makes a screeching turn, leaving behind a palpable smoke.

PANEL 15F

The car slams into a fire hydrant, the water shooting into the air.

PANEL 16F

A shot from outside the driver’s side window. CYLUS, still behind the wheel, looks at the water spout.

PANEL 17F

His shotgun in hand, he turns to exit the car in the same angle.

CYLUS

TOTALLY WORTH IT.

PANEL 18F

From behind MOLLY and the gang members, CYLUS runs to the group in extreme long shot.

MOLLY

ISN’T THAT…?

PANEL 19F

A full-page shot of CYLUS, QUENTIN, and GEORGE threatening LITTLE BROTHER.

PANEL 20F

LITTLE BROTHER snarls.

LITTLE BROTHER

YOU GOT MY MESSAGE?

PANEL 21F

GEORGE summons his courage.

PANEL 22F

A mouse-eye view of GEORGE stepping forward.

GEORGE

I’M SORRY IT’S COME TO THIS. BUT THIS NEEDS TO END.

PANEL 22F

LITTLE BROTHER smiles.

LITTLE BROTHER

NO HAZE?

PANEL 23F

A side shot of the group taking up two pages, LITTLE BROTHER on one side, QUENTIN and CYLUS baring their weapons and GEORGE on the other.

PANEL 24F

LITTLE BROTHER, in medium close-up, launches the first lunge at GEORGE, fist bared.

PANEL 25F

The hit connects with GEORGE’S stomach, but CYLUS, in the background feints around them.

PANEL 26F

In medium close-up, CYLUS fires.

PANEL 27F

GEORGE on the ground in front of him, LITTLE BROTHER cries in agony.

PANEL 28F

In close-up, GEORGE pushes him back telekinetically teeth bared.

PANEL 29F

LITTLE BROTHER flies through the air as CYLUS ducks under him. QUENTIN moves in behind him.

PANEL 30F

A side shot as he falls on QUENTIN.

PANEL 31F

QUENTIN’S hair flowing out from under him, he looks to his chest in close-up.

PANEL 32F

The sabre jutting through his midsection, GEORGE and CYLUS regroup.

PANEL 33F

QUENTIN becomes ethereal and flows through him.

PANEL 34F

The three stand above him in side shot, CYLUS aiming his shotgun at him while QUENTIN holds the sword to his neck.

GEORGE

DON’T MAKE US KILL YOU.

PANEL 34F1

Rain begins to fall from the sky.

PANEL 35F

LITTLE BROTHER grasps the sword, blood pouring from his hand.

PANEL 36F

In the same angle, he twists her arm, breaking it. She screams.

PANEL 37F

In close-up, he shoves the hilt into her jaw.

PANEL 38F

He stands in front of them as they regard him, shocked. QUENTIN holds her jaw with her good hand. His shirt is torn, but his flesh shows no bullet holes.

PANEL 39F

A puddle reacting to the rain, with his blood in it.

PANEL 1G

HAZE and MOVER, outside of his car again.

HAZE

HOLLI!

MOVER

HOLOCAUST!

PANEL 2G

A passing Hassidic Jew looks at them angrily. MOVER seems embarrassed.

MOVER

FRIEND OF MINE.

PANEL 3G

HAZE laughs.

MOVER

SHUT UP.

PANEL 4G

HAZE and MOVER stand looking around in slight dismay.

HAZE

I DONT THINK WE’RE GOING TO FIND HER. WORSE COMES TO WORSE SHE KILLS THAT RUSKIE FUCK.

MOVER

THATS NOT THE WORST.

PANEL 5G

HAZE in profile staring at MOVER who looks uncomfortable.

HAZE

WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

PANEL 6G

MOVER looking uncomfortable in medium close up.

MOVER

HOLOCAUST SAID SOMETHING ABOUT HORIZON COMING AND HAVING TO… WARM UP 12.

PANEL 7G

HAZE approaches him.

HAZE

…AND… YOU DIDN’T THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THIS EARLIER?

PANEL 8G

MOVER shrugs.

MOVER

HE TOOK LITTLE BROTHER DOWN ALONE. YOU DON’T THINK HE CAN HANDLE HIMSELF?

PANEL 9G

HAZE yelling at him.

HAZE

NO! I WAS WITH HIM THE ENTIRE FUCKING FIGHT AND FOUGHT IN ONLY THE LOOSEST SENSE OF THAT WORD. WE NEED TO FIND THEM.

PANEL 1H

GEORGE stands, fists ready.

PANEL 2H

QUENTIN, holding her arm, glares.

PANEL 3H

CYLUS reloads his shotgun.

PANEL 4H

LITTLE BROTHER watches them, smiling.

LITTLE BROTHER

WHENEVER YOU’RE READY.

PANEL 5H

CYLUS nods to GEORGE, QUENTIN between but slightly behind them.

PANEL 6H

In the same angle, GEORGE and CYLUS move out of the frame towards LITTLE BROTHER.

QUENTIN

NOW!

PANEL 7H

In full view, QUENTIN summons her strength and summons a hoard of ghosts as a diversionary tactic.

PANEL 8H

LITTLE BROTHER is slightly surprised.

LITTLE BROTHER

…SO…. GHOSTS?

PANEL 9H

On LITTLE BROTHER’S side, GEORGE throws a punch.

PANEL 10H

CYLUS, on his other side, fires the shotgun.

PANEL 11H

LITTLE BROTHER manages to dodge the shot.

PANEL 12H

GEORGE takes the brunt of the buckshot in the chest.

PANEL 13H

He flies backwards.

PANEL 14H

LITTLE BROTHER turns his attention back on CYLUS and punches him in the nose.

PANEL 15H

GEORGE on the ground. His hand rests on his wound. QUENTIN runs to him.

PANEL 16H

His hand covering most of the wound, with other small holes around it.

PANEL 17H

QUENTIN sitting over him.

QUENTIN

LET ME SEE.

PANEL 18H

She moves his hand. The spot where it used to be seems completely healed.

PANEL 19H

CYLUS on the ground, trying to aim at LITTLE BROTHER.

PANEL 20H

In long shot, LITTLE BROTHER kicks the gun out of his hand.

LITTLE BROTHER

YOU’RE OUTMATCHED.

PANEL 21H

LITTLE BROTHER launches an axe kick.

PANEL 22H

The kick connects on CYLUS’ chest.

PANEL 23H

CYLUS coughs blood.

PANEL 24H

Trying to stand, GEORGE accidentally grabs QUENTIN’S broken arm. She yells.

PANEL 25H

GEORGE, in the foreground, looks at her contritely.

GEORGE

SORRY!

PANEL 26H

Again taking his hand off the break, her arm seems completely healed.

QUENTIN

NO, IT’S…

PANEL 27H

The two look at the arm in shock.

PANEL 28H

CYLUS screams off panel. The two look at him, frightened.

PANEL 29H

LITTLE BROTHER now has CYLUS by the collar, holding him about a foot above the ground, and his shotgun in the other. GEORGE and QUENTIN run toward them. Full page… or even a two page.

PANEL 30H

LITTLE BROTHER turns.

PANEL 31H

The muzzle of the gun smacks QUENTIN in the face.

PANEL 32H

MOLLY and her gang watching them in silhouette.

EUGENE

NOW?

MOLLY

HOLD…

PANEL 33H

LITTLE BROTHER chucks CYLUS at GEORGE.

PANEL 34H

CYLUS’ body hits GEORGE and he falls backward.

PANEL 35H

GEORGE tries to push CYLUS off of him.

PANEL 36H

The same angle, CYLUS’ gun now rests on GEORGE’S forehead.

PANEL 37H

From GEORGE’S point of view, LITTLE BROTHER stands above him.

LITTLE BROTHER

THIS? THIS IS THE BEST AMERICA CAN PRODUCE?

PANEL 38H

GEORGE’S eyes, terrified.

LITTLE BROTHER

PERHAPS “WAS.”

PANEL 39H

Again from GEORGE’S point of view, LITTLE BROTHER erupts in crimson flames.

PANEL 40H

GEORGE’S head in the foreground, LITTLE BROTHER burns.

PANEL 41H

GEORGE, his face alight, watches.

GEORGE

HOLY SHIT!

PANEL 42H

A panel of LITTLE BROTHER’S hand as the liquified flesh falls off the bone.

PANEL 43H

Over LITTLE BROTHER’S shoulder, HOLOCAUST holds her hand on his back.

PANEL 44H

LITTLE BROTHER seems now just a burning skeleton, the flesh mostly melted from his body.

PANEL 45H

The burned bones collapse at HOLOCAUST’S feet.

PANEL 46H

The bones in the foreground, GEORGE looks at HOLOCAUST.

PANEL 47H

She smiles sweetly at him.

END

FALL OUT

CHAPTER 6

PANEL 1A

The sunroom in MOVER’S house. HAZE sits quietly alone at a small table decorated with a vase spring flowers.

HAZE

KITTY DRAGGED ME TO THIS NEW RUSSIAN RESTAURANT, AND I SAID TO HER, I FUCKING SAID, “I AM NOT EATING FOOD MADE BY THESE PINKO COMMIE BASTARDS.”

PANEL 2A

A close-up of HAZE as MOVER’S arm lays out a croissant in front of him.

HAZE

FIVE YEARS WE’VE BEEN MARRIED, AND-

PANEL 3A

MOVER sits down in front of him, wholly bored.

HAZE

SHE STILL, STILL DOESN’T UNDERSTAND I HATE NEW THINGS! WHEN WILL THIS WOMAN FUCKING-

PANEL 4A

MOVER looks towards the kitchen.

MOVER

I THINK I’M GOING TO GO AHEAD AND TURN THE ESPRESSO MACHINE OFF.

PANEL 5A

HAZE shoves his cup towards the viewer.

HAZE

ONE MORE CUP?

PANEL 6A

MOVER loses his cool in medium close-up.

MOVER

WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?

PANEL 7A

The two sit in side-shot, the morning light shining on them.

HAZE

I DON’T KNOW, WE HAVEN’T SEEN EACH
